Mike is an audit partner in the accounting standards group of the KPMG Department of Professional Practice (DPP). He has more than 20 years of experience that includes performing financial statement audits, providing engagement teams with technical accounting support, and as a practice fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). Mike is also an SEC reviewing partner who serves as an engagement quality control reviewer on tax-exempt bond offerings, and as a technical resource to other professionals in the audit practice. He develops US firm policies, guidance, training, publications and other materials on US GAAP accounting and financial reporting matters, with a focus on revenue recognition, compensation and benefits, and the healthcare industry.

During Mike's two years as a practice fellow at the FASB, he worked on various standard-setting projects, including the revenue recognition standard and a wide range of emerging implementation issues. Mike is a licensed CPA in New York and a member of the AICPA, New York State Society of CPAs, Healthcare Financial Management Association, and SUNY Geneseo School of Business Advisory Council.
